Dr. Trudy
Skiles Dr. Trudy Skiles was born and raised in
Holdrege, Nebraska. She received her bachelor’s degree from
the University of Nebraska. She then attended medical school
and completed her residency at the University Of Nebraska
Medical Center. Her love of skiing, biking, and climbing
brought her to Colorado Springs, Colorado. She has been
practicing obstetrics and gynecology in Colorado Springs since
1984 and was the first female OB/GYN doctor to open practice.
She has been with Associates in Women's Care since the
practice was formed in 1995.
Dr. Andrea
Lerch Dr. Andrea Lerch graduated medical school from
the University Of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1984. Her
obstetric and gynecologic training in New York at Strong
Memorial and Rochester General Hospitals was completed in
1988. She returned to her hometown of Colorado Springs in 1988
where she has been in private practice since. Dr. Lerch is a
fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology,
became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology in 1990
and maintains annual recertification.
Dr. Lerch
recognizes that women’s health care can be intimidating to
patients and endeavors to care for her patients as she would
want to be treated. Her pastimes include travel, scuba diving
and horseback riding with her dogs in the Black Forest.
Dr. Brent
Shelton Dr. Brent Shelton attended medical school at
the University Of Alabama School of Medicine. He completed his
residency in obstetrics and gynecology with the U.S. Army and
has lived in Colorado since 1991. Dr. Shelton is board
certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He and his wife Joan have one daughter, Emily. He has
practiced in Colorado Springs for five years and in July of
2004 joined the practice at Associates in Women's Care. His
particular interests are pelvic reconstructive surgery
including uterine and bladder prolapse, and urinary
incontinence.
