Sandy was born in Austin, Minnesota and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at the University of Minnesota.
She and her husband Frank moved to Colorado Springs in 1984. She worked as a nurse in the Memorial Hospital Birthing Center and then ran the Prematurity Prevention Program. In early 1992 she went back to school to get her Master's Degree in Nursing and to become a Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Regis University, Denver, CO, in 1995 and thoroughly enjoys obstetrics and gynecology.
She and Frank have 2 grown daughters. Sandy enjoys bike riding, walks with the dogs, and downhill skiing.
Professionally, she is especially interested in adolescent gynecology, perimenopausal/menopausal issues and bioidentical hormone replacement. She is certified by the National Certification Corporation.
